Entrepreneurship Nevada Website

Leader: Brandon Gottier

What: This project will create a website that facilitates the development of the EN organization, and helps achieve the goals of projects developed in pursuit of the EN mission. Organizationally, a website will (1) inform members and non-members of EN projects and special events, (2) track EN membership information, (3) report progress on projects, (4) accept donations and fees, and (5) recognized members and sponsors. With regard to the EN mission, the website will (1) link entrepreneurs to useful information, (2) coordinate the efforts of those facilitating entrepreneurship, (4) foster cooperation and coordination among those providing entrepreneurship development programs and activities, (5) provide a unified calendar of events related to entrepreneurship development, and (6) provide an effective social networking platform for entrepreneurs.

Who: Project leader: Brandon Gottier Initial Team: David Croasdell, Brandon Gottier, Mark Lord, David Lan, Carl Zmaila Project Secretary: David Croasdell

How: Once the basic structure of the site has been constructed, the project team will seek ways to involve others so as to enhance the usefulness of the site. This involvement will include people who will seek out useful content to add, people who will manage different aspects of the site (e.g., calendar, events, reporting logs, blog posting, membership), people who will market the site (obtain advertisements, sponsors), people who will keep the site up to date, people who will manage the social networking platform. A page will be created that identifies and effectively organizes organizations and programs that foster entrepreneurship and develop entrepreneurial capacities in people.

When: The basic structure of the site is complete. The project log process will be implemented by September, 2010. A team with allocated objects for the site will be constructed by September, 2010.

Metrics: Number of people visiting the site.
